The town of El Bosque is located to the northwest of Cádiz, in the Sierra de Albarracín and surrounded by valleys. Its municipal district has 30,6 km2, and is to 287 metres altitude, bordering on Prado del Rey, Ubrique, Grazalema, Benaocaz and Arcos de la Frontera.
Its entire municipal district is located inside the naturals parks of Los Alcornocales and Grazalema that has 2010 inhabitants. This municipality is included in the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos of Cádiz.
It has a Mediterranean, mild and semi damp climate, with an average temperature in summer lower tan the rest because it is inside the Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema. The municipality has one of the greater rain rate in the peninsula.

In El Bosque it is very popular the trout although we also have to emphasize the porks such as the cured pork and cold cured meat. The goat, cheese and cow cheese are very famous in this town.
We have to mention its wild asparagus and the tagarninas.
How to get there
The main road link is the Motorway A-372 (Arcos-Ronda) that links with A-373 (Villamartín-Ubrique-Gaucín). The local C-344 leads you to Málaga and it is a direct Access to La Sierra and The River Majaceite cross the town from northeast to southeast, flowing into the Embalse de los Hurones, and having tributaries and springs.
