Almonaster la Real Señor Hermitage

Señor Hermitage in Almonaster la Real

The Señor Hermitage is located on the outskirts of Almonaster la Real going to Cortegana, on the main road.

According to several texts and documents, this hermitage must have erected in the XVII century from 1640 to 1684, with a sacristy which was added subsequently.

Small in size, structurally complex, it has a rectangular ground plan, two covered sections with sail vaults and two groin vaults over the tiny sacristy.

The belfry was built in the XIC c.
