Aracena – Obispo Moya Palatial Home

The Obispo Moya Palatial Home is located in C/ Mejías 2, few minutes from Plaza Alta (square), from Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción Parish Church and from The Old Chapter House, in the monumental town of Aracena, Huelva province.

This house was owned by Juan de Moya de la Torre, bishop and confessor of Queen María Luisa of Parma, wife of Charles IV.

The most outstanding part of the house is the outside façade, with a Renaissance-style portal framed in stone. In Francisco Rincón Street, we can see a noble coat of arms sculpted in marble with references of the bishop´s ecclesiastical status and a row of balconies dating back to the 17th century.

In Pedrinazzi Street we can also see a 16th century window framed in masonry.
