Cajiz – Velez Malaga

Cajiz is a hamlet belong to the Andalusian municipality of Vélez-Málaga, in the interior, north of Almayate, on the road that leads towards Iznate.

Cajiz is a nice litle village of Arab origen population, the chuch is the most important monument and is one of the oldest churches in the diocese of Málaga, dating from 1505. The head of the parish until 1897 was Our Lady of the Rosary, in that year pattern and head to San Jose is named.

Within the territory of Cajiz are the districts of Los Claros, Cajicillos and Las Huertas.
