Colada Dam – Reservoir
The Colada Dam was finished in 2006 and proceeded to close the gates of the botton outlet in 2007, beginning the start charging the reservoir.
The Colada reservoir is located north of the province of Cordoba, in the Comarca of Los Pedroches. The Colada Reservoir occupied an area of 530 hectares in the Andalusian municipalities of Belalcazar, Hinojosa del Duque and El Viso.
Colada Dam & Reservoir Objectives
The Colada Reservoir enables regulating the flow of the Guadarramilla and Guadamatilla rivers for water supply to the population of the Comarca of Los Pedroches (Cordoba) and the district of Almaden (Ciudad Real).
The Dam has a height on foundations of 48,5 m and a crest lenght of 274 m. The construction material is concrete.
