El Horcajo Dam
El Horcajo Dam & Reservoir – Carmona
El Horcajo Dam was built in 1991 on the bed of the Arroyo de la Higuera, in the Andalusian municipality of Carmona, province of Sevilla.
El Horcajo is an homogeneous loose materials dam type with a height from foundations of 13 meters and a crest lenght of 146 meters.
El Horcajo Reservoir belong to the Cuenca Hidrografica del Guadalquivir (Guadalquivir River Basin) and has a capacity of 0,150 hm3.
Uses of the Horcajo Reservoir
The municipality of Carmona, the second area of the province of Sevilla, is located in the centre of it, part of the regions of the countryside and the Vega. In 1996 it had 25,266 inhabitants, most of who resided in the main core. Guadajoz entity also belongs to Carmona´s municipality. Read more….
