El Sancho Dam & Reservoir – Gibraleon

El Sancho Dam was built in 1962 on the bed of the Meca River, municiapality of Gibraleon, province of Huelva, in Andalucia, Spain.

El Sancho is a gravity dam type with straight plant, with  a height from foundations of 50 meters  and a crest lenght of 224 meters.

The Sancho Reservoir belong to the Tinto, Odiel and Piedras River Basin and has a capacity of 58,80 hm3.
