Parish Church of the Holy Spirit – Fuenteheridos
The Parish Church of the Holy Spirit is located next to the Púlpito del Espíritu Santo in the locality of Fuenteheridos, in the province of Huelva, Andalusia.
There was church from 16th century that was destroyed during the Lisbon earthquake in 1755. The head and the chancel are the only things that remain from that church. The whole building dates from 18th century whose works were supervised by the architect Pedro de Silva.
This building has an elongated rectangular ground plan following the neoclassical style, which we can clearly observe in the facades. The only elements that are not situated in the rectangular plan are the bell tower and the open chapel, rebuilt in 20th century.
Among the elements exhibited in the interior, it is important to mention “Virgen de la Fuente” (virgin) image (16th century). “San José” image (18th century) and some elements made of silverware.

The municipality of Fuenteheridos is located in the north of the province of Huelva, belonging to the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park. The main nucleus (at more than 700 meters of altitude) is located on a gentle slope facing northeast-southeast, at the head of a small valley and at the crossroads of the roads that link Galaroza with Aracena and Fregenal de la Sierra with Zalamea. , being surrounded by three small hills or hills. Por la lejanía en que me encuentro desde Canarias no me permite hacer este tipo de trabajo por lo que deseo saber si alguien que sepa de localizar documentos quiera hacerse cargo de una pequeña investigación. Se le facilita donde está parada la investigación para que pueda seguir por una linea de investigación.
