The Gato Dam was built on the bed of the Arroyo del Gato, in the municipality of Jerez de la Frontera, province of Cadiz, Andalucia, Spain.

Gato is an homogeneous loose materials dam type with a height from foundations of 20 meters and a crest length of 206 meters.

The Gato Reservoir belong to the Guadalete and Barbate River Basin and has a capacity of 0,740 hm3.
