Humilladero is situated to the north of the comarca (region) of Antequera, bordering the province of Seville, and is 78km from the capital, Malaga. The village sits at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level, the area has an average rainfall of 480 l/m2 and the average annual temperature is 15.5 º C

Humilladero is a farming village of spacious streets, white houses and modern construction for the most part, although the antiquity of the area dates back to 1618. The only monuments are the Iglesia de la Virgen del Rosario (Church of Our Lady of the Rosary) and la Cruz del Humilladero, located at the entrance of the town. There are some artificial caves where archaeological remains have been found from the Muslim period, you can visit the Cueva del Zapato and climb the Pollo peak, from where you can admire a beautiful view of the nature reserve of Laguna de Fuente de Piedra. As well as this, in Humilladero there are excellent professionals working in the forge. This is amply demonstrated by the lights or gates that can be seen on any of the facades of the town.
