Los Alburejos Dam & Reservoir – Medina Sidonia
Alburejos Dam was built in 1987 on the bed on the Arroyo Carrasquilla, in the Andalusian municipality of Medina Sidonia, province of Cadiz, near the Cañada de las Majadillas.
Alburejos is a loose materials dam type with clay core, the dam has a height from foundations of 14 meters and a crest lenght of 188 meters.
The Alburejos Reservoir belong to the Guadalete and Barbate River Basin and has a capacity of 0,530 hm3.
Uses of Los Alburejos Reservoir
Medina Sidonia is located to 300 metres altitude and it is to 46 kilometres from the capital of the province . It has an area of 546,54 km2 and approximately 14.651 inhabitants. This beautiful town borders on Jerez de la Frontera, Puerto Real, Chiclana de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera, Tarifa, Los Barrios, Alcalá de los Gazules and Paterna de la Rivera. Read more……
