Los Almeriques Dam & Reservoir – Medina Sidonia
Los Almeriques Dam was built on the bed of the Arroyo de los Almeriques, just few minutes from the A-381, in the Andalusian municipality of Medina Sidonia, province of Cádiz, Spain.
Los Almeriques is an homogeneous loose materials dam type with a height from foundations of 14,5 meters and a crest lenght of 184 meters.
Los Almeriques Reservoir belong to the Cuenca Hidrografica Guadale y Barbate (Guadalete and Barbate River Basin) and has a capacity of 0,260 hm3.
Uses of Los Almeriques Reservoir
Medina Sidonia is located to 300 metres altitude and it is to 46 kilometres from the capital of the province . It has an area of 546,54 km2 and approximately 14.651 inhabitants. This beautiful town borders on Jerez de la Frontera, Puerto Real, Chiclana de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera, Tarifa, Los Barrios, Alcalá de los Gazules and Paterna de la Rivera.
