Arabic door of the purest Muslim style, with a horseshoe arch and a grand staircase as a whole. It dates from the tenth century.
It is one of the doors of access to the walled enclosure and the most represntative of the symbols of Medina Sidonia. Its construction dates back to the Caliphated period, around the 10th century. It has two pointed horseshoe arches, one of which rests on reused columns that belonged to the temple of Hercules. The set is made with very carefully made stone blocks from quarry stones that were found in the municipality.
