Santa Maria Parish Church

The Santa Maria Parish Church is located in C/ Iglesia (street), at the Andalucia Square, next to the Town Hall, in the Andalusian town of Santa Cruz de Marchena, Almeria province.

It was the first mosque to be transformed into a Christian temple with the title of the Holy Cross, which remained as the name of the place.

It is a temple of Mudejar style, of the type of churches with the differentiated mayor chapel, which has a vault of stucco of later time, the roof of the ship is an armor of lime-bordon with agramilado and cloth decorated with stars of eight points and four ties.

The main entrance is a lintel cover with a half-point arch and crowned with a cornice with a collar profile.
