Trail Adelfal de Cuadros

Length of the route: 600 meters
Duration: 20 minutes
Degree of Difficulty: Low

If oyu decide to do this trail you will have the opportunity to enter one of the largest and most important Adelfal (oleander forest) of the Península.

During the tour, we will leave the Rio Cuadros (river) on the left and walk under a canopy of oleanders. This curious formation is due to the fact that being so close to each other, these bushes barely let the light through, so the stems have lengthened and the hours only appear at the end of them trying to capture the sun´s rays needed to your survival.

In addition to the oleanders, there are other species associated with water courses such as fig trees, white poplar, black poplar and large size tamarisk. Beyond the fringe of the adelfal, Aleppo pine, broom, mastic and cornicabra appear.

In the final stretch, after passing the second bridge, we find a rock enclosure, it is the source of the river from wich the water goes down for the consumption of the town of Bedmar. The trail ends after crossing the bridge and reaching an esplanade with walnut trees.

In the nearby Cuadros Watchtower you can enjoy an excellent view of the path and its surroundings.
